Azerbaijani Embassy in Ukraine will initiate a meeting with the management of "Inter" TV channel to solve the problem with broadcasting biased materials on Nagorno-Karabakh, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Ukraine Talat Aliyev told Trend on Dec. 12.  

"We want to tell them how roughly they have broken all laws and regulations of staying in another country. A cameraman team arrived in the territory and prepared documentary film without permission of the Azerbaijani Government. They took a pro-Armenian position without studying the history, facts of these events," Aliyev said.

The Azerbaijani Embassy in Ukraine delivered a diplomatic note to the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry due to the demonstration of an anti-Azerbaijani film on the Inter television channel on Dec 7, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Ukraine Talat Aliyev told Trend .

After Euronews, Inter prepared and presented an anti-Azerbaijani film about Karabakh.

The Ambassador confirmed that a meeting was held on this situation at the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine. Foreign Minister of Ukraine stated at the meeting that the position of Ukraine regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict remains unchanged - the question must be resolved based on international law with upholding the principle of territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

"Regarding the survey on Inter TV, the Foreign Ministry said that unfortunately, it is a private TV channel, it has no right to express opinions of the state. The Foreign Ministry promised to hold relevant work in the channel and promised to arrange a meeting with Inter, at which we wish to express our position," the Ambassador said.

He said that the visit of cameraman team of Inter to Azerbaijan, to the refugee camps, relevant documents, documentary films which were filmed during the war will be offered during the meeting. "We want them to see how the Armenians have destroyed the Khojali city, committed a real genocide of Azerbaijani people. We will show and offer all these to them to take a truthful film and show it to Ukrainian public," Aliyev said.
