The Azerbaijani State Committee for Refugees and IDPs has prepared proposals for the release of IDPs from illegally occupied private homes.
About 6,000 IDPs live illegally in private homes in Azerbaijan and half of them in Baku, Ali Hasanov, Azerbaijani deputy prime minister and chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs, told journalists today. According to him, 300-400 of these houses should be emptied quickly.
"This problem was studied for six months, and each addresses the conditions in which these people moved into these homes. We have prepared proposals and are ready to solve this problem at a high level," he added.
About one million Azerbaijanis have been displaced as a result of Armenian aggression against Azerbaijan.
