Some 2,358,191 sq. m. of area was cleared from mines and unexploded ammunition in April, the ANAMA told Trend .
The Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Actions (ANAMA) revealed and detonated 2,633 unexploded ammunition and mines in this territory. In April 10 antitank mines and 6 antipersonnel mine were found.
Some 425 specialists, 115 assistant staff, 6 mechanized mine clearing cars and 30 mine detector dogs took part in it.
So far, 1,331,810,18 sq. m. of area was demined and 613,705 unexploded ammunitions were detonated.
The ANAMA carries out demining in Tartar, Agdam, Fuzuli, Agstafa, Gedabek and Goygol regions of Azerbaijan and in Garadagh region of Baku.
In May, no case of mine/unexploded ammunition was fixed.
