Rampage of Armenian lies continues worldwide, including in Europe. Leaders of the European Union (EU) are most inclined to believe all these lies, director of the Center of Political Innovations and Technologies Mubariz Ahmedoglu told Trend on Monday.
"During his recent visit to Brussels, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan has shown willingness to "intelligent compromise" in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. It's a lie! In order to get 1.5 billion euros Sargsyan wants to give a written guarantee that Armenia will sign unimportant document "Basic Principles". Settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict can begin with the signing of the "Great Peace Agreement" and the withdrawal of Armenian troops from Azerbaijani territory," Ahmedoglu said.
In his opinion, it is still unclear, based on which Armenian lies, the EU can not mention the dialogue between Armenian and Azerbaijani communities of Nagorno-Karabakh. And this is not the only lie, which the EU believes.
"Lithuanian Defense Minister Rasa Jukneviciene during her visit to Armenia made a very interesting statement. The minister said that she arrived in Yerevan at the insistence of the Armenian leadership, in the midst of parliamentary elections. During the talks with the Armenian president the Lithuanian minister realized that Russia does not give Armenia the opportunity to settle the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Obstacles put by Russia in the way of settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, which Sargsian said about, are another deliberate lie," Ahmedoglu said.
He said if Armenia wants to settle the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Russia by no means will be able to prevent this.
"If the Armenian leadership wants a peaceful settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and the only obstacle to this is Russia, then this obstacle can be eliminated by the cooperation of any EU State and Azerbaijan. There are 20 thousand Armenian soldiers serving in Nagorno-Karabakh. EU members can call the Armenian soldiers lay down their arms, disarm them and then, after preparation for migration to send them to Armenia by creating a special staffs from the Azerbaijani side of the line of contact. This will prevent false or truthful statements of Sargsyan on behalf of Russia. The liberation of lands from occupation will begin after the withdrawal of Armenian troops from the Azerbaijani lands," Ahmedoglu said.
The political scientist believes that the purpose of simultaneous invitation of the Minister of Defence of Lithuania, who is a member of the EU and NATO and the CSTO Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha by Sargsyan is the creation of a multilateral framework for the dissemination of lies in the direction of the West and Russia.
"There are many ideas and options for a peaceful settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh. There is only one path leading to war. Lie of Armenia aims EU for a military solution of the Nagorno-Karabakh problem. The Council of Europe has many opportunities for the peaceful settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and creation stability in the region, which will serve the interests of the EU. The European Union should not rely on the Armenian lies in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, but to demand concrete, practical ideas to support. You need to stop believing in the Armenian lies and engage in the concrete case," Ahmedoglu said.
