The Khojaly genocide will be discussed at the summer session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, which will be held in Istanbul in July, member of the Azerbaijani delegation, MP Eldar Ibrahimov told Trend.

The delegation is undertaking relevant works in this connection, Ibrahimov said.

According to him, materials on the Khojaly tragedy will be distributed amongst members of the OSCE PA during the 12th winter session that will take place this week in Vienna.

"The winter session will last for two days, thus it will only discuss matters included in the agenda of committees. However, the Azerbaijani delegation intends to discuss the most terrible event of the last century, the Khojaly tragedy, during the summer session of the OSCE," Ibrahimov said.

Noting that the OSCE Chairman Leonid Kozhara will present a report during the session, Ibrahimov stated that questions concerning the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the possible contribution that can be made to it during the presidency of Ukraine in the OSCE, will be addressed to him in the process of discussion of the report.

The Azerbaijani delegation headed by the Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijani Parliament Bahar Muradova will participate in the 12th winter session of the OSCE PA, which will take place in Vienna.
