Today, Azerbaijan is fighting the Armenian army, which has gathered mercenaries from Syria and the Middle East, Ali Babayev, Chairman of the National Congress of Azerbaijanis of Georgia, told Trend.
According to him, Azerbaijan is engaged in a war, liberating its own territories against the invader.
"Azerbaijan has been waiting for 30 years for the world community to resolve this conflict, as a result of which more than one million Azerbaijanis became refugees and internally displaced persons. Yes, Azerbaijan provides them with all-round support, but morally and psychologically these people have been feeling disadvantaged for 30 years. During these years, the Armenians have taken many provocative steps, because of their destructive actions, old people, children, soldiers, infrastructure have suffered. Unfortunately, the OSCE Minsk Group was unable to contribute to the peaceful settlement of this conflict," Babayev said.
“The Azerbaijani state is carrying out measures against the occupation on its territory. Several villages and strategic heights have been liberated, ”he stressed.
"The Georgian people want peace in the region, in connection with which the Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Gakharia offered Armenia and Azerbaijan Tbilisi as a place for negotiations to resolve the conflict," Babayev stressed.
