Russia upholds Azerbaijans territorial integrity, reportedly said Vladimir Orlov, director of Political Research Center, speaking at the press conference in Moscow devoted to Russias expectations from G8 summit in St Petersburg.

AnsweringTrend special correspondents question, Orlov said: В"One should say G8 leaders have a little time to discuss separatism problems, though separatism is quite an actual issue. Besides, separatism issue is really difficult to raise in a view of all events occurring around Kosovo. As or the RFs position, it is clear and comprehensive and applies to each specific situation individually. Russia upholds Azerbaijans territorial integrityВ", he added.

As to the situation in Abkhazia, Orlov said, it deserves some special attention and in case we speak of independence for Kosovo it is unclear why we may not speak of Abkhazia status change. But these issues, most likely, are not G8-level ones, but just for experts, depending on situation on Balkans, in Moldova and on South Caucasus.

Speaking on forthcoming summit themes, Russian scientist said the center of attention will be secured by issues of energy security, global partnership and, undoubtedly, Irans nuclear program.
