In order to improve the legal base of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) of Azerbaijan, three prepared drafts are expected to be considered in October 2006 again, Farasat Gourbanov, National NGO Forum Executive Director told Trend.
It should be mentioned that on June 28, 2006, by the assistance of the project of the International Agency for Society Development, the National NGO Forum held a seminar where the drafts On Social Association, On Funds, On Charitable Activity , and other ones were discussed.
Mr. Gourbanov pointed out that the drafts should be submitted to OSCE Local Representative Office Baku for consideration. We addressed to OSCE Office Baku with this issue. They told us that the specialists to consider the documents are expected to arrive in Baku on September 10. Now we are looking forward their arrival, underlined Mr. Gourbanov.
He also pointed out that as soon as the OSCE Baku Office's specialists consider the documents, they will be submitted to the Milli Majlis (Parliament). But we are about to review these documents prior to that once more. It is not excluded that the working group will complete the project in October 2006, told Mr. Gourbanov.
