Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend E.Huseynly / Measures are taken to prevent fires in the line of conflict between Armenian-Azerbaijani troops in the large territory settled by the Azerbaijanis. The regional fire departments of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan have been brought into readiness, the Minister of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan, Kamaladdin Heydarov, confirmed on 8 June.
"The Armed Forces of Armenia intentionally commit fires on the territories settled by the Azerbaijanis. I made a speech on this issue at the meeting in Morocco attended by the Ministers of Emergency Situations. I stated that Armenia creates emergency situations in the region," Heydarov said.
Since mid-May, the Armenians have been committing arson on occupied Azerbaijani lands. Such a situation also happened in the summer of last year.
