Azerbaijan, Baku, 26 September / Trend corr. I.Alizade / Protest action was held in Nardaran settlement, which is located around the Azerbaijani capital of Baku, against the United States and Israel.
"Today's [26 September] action was dedicated to the International Jerusalem Day," Haji Alikram Aliyev, the former chairman of the Azerbaijani Islamist Party and elder man of Nardaran settlement, said.
About 100 people participated in the action held at the Imam Huseyn square, which is located in the centre of the settlement, the Trend correspondent said. Women did not participate in the action unlike the action of last years.
The last day of Ramadan month was announced a Jerusalem Day to show solidarity with the Palestinian nation after the Iranian Islamic Revolution in 1979. Muslims hold actions protesting Israel every year since then.
The actions were held under slogans of Death to United States, Death to Israel and Israel + United States = occupation, terror. People raised the Iranian flag, flags with slogans, which were written in the Persian language, as well as portraits of former religious leader and current religious leaders of Iran at the action.
The participants of the action put flags of the United States, Israel, the United Kingdom and France under their feet and burnt during the action. At the same time, scarecrow, where the slogan of George Bush - First Number Terrorist, was prepared. The scarecrow was burnt at the end of the action.
The world Muslims achieved a unity and the United States and Israel worry about the unity, Aliyev said.
"We will liberate Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine and Nagorno-Karabakh from enemies' occupation," Aliyev stressed.
