Passenger bus blasted in Lankaran region (270 km south of Baku), Azerbaijan. The incident left many injured.

Bus with state number 42 BJ 379 functioning in the Lankaran-Baku route blasted and fired at 10:30 on Aug.3. The bus was in car repair workshop near School 10, Trend correspondent said.

Driver, a resident of the Lankaran region, Rovshan Kalantarov, as well as workers Rafaddin Agayev, 47, and Elshan Islamov, 30, residents of the Goyshaban village, were taken to the hospital, the Lankaran region Fire Department told Trend .

The bus has become out of use. The blast happened as a result of gas leakage, the department said.

The state of injured people became normal after the first medical aid, the hospital said.

Law enforcement agencies launched an investigation into the case.
