Strong fire in a three-storey residential building in the Ichari-Shahar (Inner Сity) of Baku at Boyuk Gala killed 2 people, 85-year old Akif Ahmadov and his wife 73-year old Elmira Akhundova, Azerbaijani Interior Ministry's Representative Ehsan Zahidov told Trend today.
According to him, the fire that occurred at about 21.00 [local time] on Saturday completely burned the properties of the residents.
About 20 fire engines and six ambulances were involved in extinguishing the fire.
