Two Serious Traffic Accidents in Azerbaijani Salyan Region

Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr E. Mammadov / 'Ford' passenger minibus going from Baku to Lankaran region turned over in the evening of 8 June in the 27th km of the Alat-Astara highway. As a result, two passengers died at the scene of accident, five were hospitalized to the Salyan Region Central Hospital.

'PAZ' bus (number plate of 47-AC-298) driven by Adullah Isayev with 12 employees of the Neftchala region poultry farm inside after passing the bridge over the Kur River run into the barriers and fell down off 10 metres in the 54th km of the Alat-Astara highway in the morning of 9 June. Fortunately, the bus did not turn over and touched down on the wheels. Seven passengers were hospitalized to the Salyan Region Central Hospital.

According to the head physician of the hospital, Ibrahim Jafarov, the victims were slightly injured and were released after medical assistance. The accident was caused by control trouble.

Investigation on both accidents is in way at the Salyan Region Police Department.
