Azerbaijan, Nakhchivan / Тrend corr E. Mammadov / Turkey's new consul-general to Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR) has been appointed.
The new Consul, Mehmet Bilir, replaced Sefa Yujeer in this position. Before the appointment Bilir had worked in the Turkish Foreign Ministry.
The area of NAR is 5.5km sq m, which constitutes 6.4% of the Azerbaijan's territory. Nakhchivan consists of Babek, Sharur, Ordubad, Sadarak, Shahbuz, Julfa and Kangarli regions. Nakhchivan AR with its capital in Nakhchivan city has a population of 380,200 people.
