Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend I.Alizade / The program of the visit of representatives of NATO Parliamentary Assembly's Ad Hoc Committee on Democratic Management to Azerbaijan was announced, according to the Press Service of the Azerbaijani Parliament.
On 19 September representatives of NATO will visit the grave of the former President of Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev, at the Honorary Cemetery. Today they will meet with the First Vice Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament and also Head of the Azerbaijani delegation to the NATO, Ziyafet Askerov, members of the Azerbaijani Parliamentary Commission for International and Inter-Parliamentary Relations, the Azerbaijani delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, Azerbaijani Parliament Security and Defense Commission and Head of the OSCE Baku Office Jose-Luis Herrero.
On 20 September the NATO representatives will meet with the Defense Minister of Azerbaijan, Safar Abiyev, Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations, Hidayat Orujov and Foreign Minister, Elmar Mammadyarov.
On 21 September the NATO delegation will hold a meeting in Turkey's Embassy to Azerbaijan with the heads of diplomatic missions of NATO member-countries in Azerbaijan. In addition, the delegation will meet with Azerbaijan's Deputy Minister of National Security, Ali Shafiyev, Deputy Minister of Industry and Energy, Gulmammad Javadov and the Speaker of Parliament, Oktay Asadov.
The NATO representatives will become familiarized with political, economic and military reforms in Azerbaijan, the level of Azerbaijan's implementation of its obligations before NATO and discuss energy security issues. No documents are planned to be devised as a result of the visit.
The visit will conclude on 21 September.
