Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr S. Ilhamgizi / Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev decreed the establishment of an Organizing Committee to Nominate Baku as the Venue for the 31st Olympic Games and the 15th Paralympic Games.
In compliance with the decree, Azerbaijan's First Deputy Prime Minister, Yagub Eyyubov, was appointed the Chairman of the Committee. The members of the Committee are the head of Baku City Executive Power, Hajibala Abutalibov, the Youth & Sports Minister, Azad Rahimov, the Foreign Minister, Elmar Mammadyarov the Culture & Tourism Minister, Abulfaz Garayev, the Communications & IT Minister, Ali Abbasov, the Labour and Social Protection Minister, Fuzuli Alakbarov, the Economic Development Minister, Heydar Babayev, the Ecology & Natural Resources Minister, Huseyngulu Baghirov, the Agriculture Minister, Ismat Abbasov, the Health Minister, Ogtay Shiraliyev, Finance Minister, Samir Sharifov, Transport Minister, Ziya Mammadov, and other officials.
