Azerbaijan,   Croatia Sign Documents on Bilateral Cooperation

Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr A. Ismayilova / Azerbaijani and Croatian Presidents, Ilham Aliyev and Stjpe Mesic, signed a joint statement on 2 October within the framework of the Croatian President's first official visit to Baku. The document contains the issues on political and bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Croatia, also within the framework of international organizations. The resolution reflected Azerbaijan's integration to Euro-Atlantic organizations, to which a great attention is paid in Croatia, President Aliyev reported at a press conference after the negotiations with Croatian President. The document also included the issue on settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. It says the conflict should be settled within the framework of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity and inviolability of its borders, President Aliyev said. Agreements were also signed between the Chambers of Trade & Commerce and diplomatic officials of the both countries. A memorandum on cooperation, intergovernmental agreement on investments for mutual aid was signed between the Economic Development Ministries.
