Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend S.Agayeva / Russia expects to receive a response from Azerbaijan to its proposals regarding the mutual transmission of TV channels for both of the countries.
"We have already submitted our proposals and conditions on the broadcasting of Azerbaijani AzTV channel on the territory of Russia. Now the Azerbaijani side should provide a response," the Ambassador of Russia to Azerbaijan, Vasili Istratov, briefed the media on 4 October.
The Ambassador said that the proposals of the Russian side describes the conditions for the transmission of the Azerbaijani TV channel on the territory of Russia.
The issue of broadcasting of AzTV on the territory of Russia was raised after the National TV and Radio Council of Azerbaijan made a decision ceasing the transmission of Russia's 'RTR-Planeta' in Azerbaijan. Later, the sides reached a consensus and highlighted the possibility of the transmission of the channels of the two countries. The Azerbaijani side submitted an agreement to the Russian side regarding the technical aspects of the broadcasting of the Russia's 'RTR-Planeta' in Azerbaijan and broadcasting of the Azerbaijani AzTV channel on the territory of Russia.
