Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend A.Ismyilova / Azerbaijan needs managers, who are well informed in the world business environment, the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said at the opening ceremony of a new building at the Economic University in the district of Narimanov in Baku on 8 October.
"In general, specialists from other countries are invited to Azerbaijan for management. However, Azerbaijanis should hold the managing positions," the head of state said.
The President said that Azerbaijan is in need of professional specialists in all spheres. Along with a logistics base the teaching process should be improved in the education sector and this greatly depends on teachers.
Noting the dynamic economic growth of Azerbaijan Aliyev added that the strategy of development of the Azerbaijani education system has found its manifestation namely at the Economic University.
Aliyev said that work is being carried out for the development of universities and necessary reforms are held in respect to this.
