New Youth Analytical Group Established in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. K.Ramazanova / A newly-established Youth Analytical Group 'National Strategies' at the Human Rights Institute of the Azerbaijani National Academy of Science has been described as the hub of the Institute.

The Group's mission is to unite intellectually advanced and patriotic spiritual youths of the country.

One of the key goals of the organization is to form a scientific and educational base which enables people to receive professional skills and experience active participation in the public and social life of the country.

Similar organizations occur in different countries. It is one of the first established experimentally youth laboratory in Azerbaijan. The Group's head Ulvi Hasanzadeh said that a range of youth organizations have been established in Azerbaijan recently.

The head of the youth organizations believes that a united youth organization system in Azerbaijan does not exist. However, there are youth organizations which actively work with political parties which are called electorate organizations and the function of such organizations is not so active.

There is also another type of independent youth organization which is network-orientated and private, uniting only it members. Such an organization is of a religious or cultural background and taking into consideration the Government became independent recently, such youth organizations exist. "The program of youth state policy, which is greatly approved by the President of Azerbaijan, has been functioning for 13 years," Hasanzadeh added.
