While informing the Azerbaijan President about the construction work, the Azerbaijan Transport Minister Ziya Mammadov, said that a four-strip highway with the length of 650 metres was laid down from the Ganjlik Square to the Jeyhun Hajibeyli St, in order to regulate the traffic in Baku. The highway is planned to be extended from the Nasimi district to the Samad Vurgun St in order to make it an avenue. Its total length will make 1,400 metres. The new four-strip avenue will play an important role in managing traffic by preventing jams.

According to Mammadov, another advantage of the road is that the main streets running to the Ganjlik Square will be unified with the avenue. It will enable to drive from the avenue to the Jeyhun Hajibeyli St, the Hasan Aliyev Ave, the Mirali Gashgay St, the Azadlig Ave, the Khan Shushinski St and the Samad Vurgun St.
