Azerbaijan, Baku, 18 February / Trend corr. G.Jabiyev / The opposition Great establishment Party of Azerbaijan will participate in the upcoming presidential elections with its candidate.
"We will not decline from participation in the elections," MP Fazail Gazanfaroglu, stated to Trend on 18 February.
The Supreme Assembly of the party will be held in March. The name of candidate for the presidential post is expected to be announced during this meeting. "I will nominate my candidature. There is no other candidate for this post in the party," Gazanfaroglu said. However, the MP said that the party may refuse to participate in the elections if an anti democratic election environment is created. Gazanfaroglu excluded the possibility of supporting another candidate.
