Not Depending on Those which Take Place in UNO, Everybody Should Know that Washington and Baku Have Good Co-operation: OSCE MG Co-Chairman

Azerbaijan, Baku, 15 March / Trend / "We should be very correct with regards to the Resolution adopted by the UNO, which was submitted by the Azerbaijani side. However, not depending on those which take place in the UNO, everybody should know that Washington and Baku co-operate with each other well. I can say that sometimes we do not support each other in the UNO because each country has its own views," the U.S. Co-Chairman of the OSCE Minsk Group, Matthew Bryza, said in his interview with Azerbaijani TV channel ANS, commenting on the UN General Assembly's adoption of the Resolution on Situation in Occupied Territories of Azerbaijan.

On 14 March the UN General Assembly supported the Resolution on Situation in Occupied Territories of Azerbaijan, which was presented by the Azerbaijani side.

Some 39 countries voted for and seven countries against the Resolution. 100 members abstained voting, a source in the UNO stated.

The Resolution highlights serious concerns that the armed conflict in the Nagorno-Karabakh territory of Azerbaijan and its surrounding regions is continuing presenting threats for the international peace and security and adversely affects the humanitarian situation in the South Caucasus countries.
