Alizade/ The governing New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) developed the plan on arrangements dedicated to the 85th anniversary of Azerbaijan's ex-President Heydar Aliyev, who was the founder of the party. "NAP will hold a conference on the subject 'Heydar Aliyev and Azerbaijan'," the NAP Executive Secretary Ali Ahmadov said on 15 March.
According to Ahmadov, moreover, a book and a multimedia disk dedicated to the life and activities of Heydar Aliyev are being developed.
Ahmadov said that NAP's youth organization will hold a football tournament due to the anniversary.
Heydar Aliyev was born in Nakhchivan in 1923 and passed away in 2003.
The NAP was founded in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan (NAR) in 1992 by Heydar Aliyev, who then was the chair of the Nakhchivan Parliament. Present chair of the party is the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
