Azerbaijan, Baku, 31 March / corr. Trend S. Agayeva/ Azerbaijan can contribute to the development of relations between European Union (EU) and Central Asia. Elmar Mammadyarov, the foreign minister of Azerbaijan said on 31 March during his meeting with Alan Vadams, the Head of European Commission in Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan will make every effort to develop relations with the European Union within the European Neighboring Policy, the minister said while accepting the copy of credentials of Vadams.
With regards to mutual cooperation and the competition in the energy market, Mammadyarov stressed the significance of joining of EU member states to the energy policy with the common position.
Vaddams said that Azerbaijan has large perspectives for development and together with EU it will continue to work on projects on transport and communication, the press service of Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said.
