Baku,   Moscow Cooperate in All Spheres – Azerbaijani Ambassador

Azerbaijan, Baku, 4 April / Trend corr.A.Gasimova / Azerbaijan and Russia is cooperating in all spheres of bilateral interaction, Polad Bulbuloglu, the Azerbaijani Ambassador in Russia, stated.

"There are more than 400 enterprises, with full and partial Russian capital, in Azerbaijan. The Azerbaijani Parliament made a decision to join the CIS Humanitarian Cooperation Fund and this step of Azerbaijan demonstrates our will to intensify humanitarian cooperation," Bulbuloglu said during the conference 'Azerbaijan 2008: break to development'.

Special attention is paid to the Russian language in Azerbaijan. "There is no problem with the Russian language and culture, and no Russian language schools have been closed in the country," the Ambassador said.

" Russia is a country with different political points of views, there are political forces which have non-friendship attitude towards Azerbaijan's. In spite of the different opinions of Russian public and political groups, we, being an Embassy, respect the official position of Russia," he noted.

Ambassador informed about the intensions of official Baku on settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict through peaceful means on the grounds of territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and international law principles. "Azerbaijanis will not give Karabakh to anybody and will agree for the annexation of its lands," Bulbuloglu added.

Elnur Aslanov, the head of department on political analyses of Azerbaijani President Executive Administration, informed about the decrease of poverty rate and creation of new job opportunities in the country. According to him, salaries have been increased nearly by 50%. " Azerbaijan outruns Ukraine, Russia, Armenia and Georgia according to the economic freedom," he added. " Azerbaijan under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev carries out a course of total modernization of all spheres of life, as a result becoming a powerful regional and non-regional player," Aslanov added.

The conference was attended by Denis Sammut- the director of London Institute for Regulating of conflicts 'Links', Elkhan Nuriyev- head of Strategic Search Centre at the Azerbaijani Preside Administration, Rashad Rzakuliyev- head of Azerbaijani Social Development Fund and many others.
