Azerbaijan, Baku, 23 April / corr Trend A.Ismayilova / The intensification of economic relations have become the major topic of discussions at a meeting of the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Moldova in Baku on 23 April.
"The energy cooperation, investment projects, as well as relations in the humanitarian sector were on focus of the meeting," Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said after the talks with the President of Moldova Vladimir Voronin.
The intensification of political dialogue, bilateral and regional cooperation was also mulled, the President said.
The heads of states touched upon the lingering conflicts in the territory of Azerbaijan and Moldova.
"The resolution of conflicts will give impetus to regional cooperation and enable to remove potential threats of separatism," the Azerbaijani President said.
Aliyev thanked Moldova for its support to Azerbaijan's initiative on the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh at the UN General Assembly.
