Azerbaijan, Baku, 23 May / Trend  corr. J.Babayeva / Ahmad Oruj, Chairman of the opposition Azadlig party, believes that the decision of the Azadlig bloc not to participate in the republican meeting is wrong. The document, which will reflect a single position of the Azerbaijani opposition regarding the draft of amendments and supplements into the Election Code, will be adopted in the meeting, Oruj said to the Trend on 23 May.

The republic meeting is expected to be held soon. A task Group was established to develop a single document. Azadlig bloc, that unites three opposition parties - Popular Front, Citizen and Development and Liberal, will not accept the invitation to participate in the meeting.

"The position of Azadlig bloc, which is considered one of the leading opposition forces in the country, will cause a serious obstacle to reach to a single position of the opposition camp," Oruj said.

According to Oruj, the Union for Democracy, which unites the Classical Popular Front, Azadlig and National-Democratic parties, will join the meeting.

Oruj stated that a set of documents would be adopted in the meeting. "An appeal to the Azerbaijani population and European Parliament will be adopted in the meeting, alongside, the single document on the Election Code," Oruj stated.
