Azerbaijan and Jordan to Develop Military and Technical Cooperation

Azerbaijan, Baku, 17 June / corr. Trend S. Agayeva/ Azerbaijan and Jordan intend to develop military and technical cooperation. Head of the Joint Staff of Jordan Khalid al Sarayra plans to visit Azerbaijan by mid-July to discuss the prospects of cooperation, the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Jordan Elman Arazli said to Trend .

The army of Jordan is distinguished for its strong discipline and the way it is organized, the advantages that the Azerbaijani army can benefit from, the Azerbaijani military experts believe. The Jordan army, which once purchased soviet military equipments in large numbers, today is equipped not only with the Soviet made armament but also with that of the West.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Defense Industry has been functioning in Azerbaijan for already two years. Today, it important to take real measures to co-opt efforts of this Ministry with that of the other countries that have immense experience in the defense industry sphere. The experience of Jordan can be useful for Azerbaijan, experts said.

The Head of the Joint Staff of Jordan will discuss the possibilities of cooperation of the two countries in training military staff and purchase of armament, the Ambassador said over a telephone from Amman.
