Iran’s President Says Tehran May Negotiate with Israel and All Countries

Azerbaijan, Baku, 23 July / Trend corr. D.Khatinoglu/ Iran's President said, besides for Israel, official Tehran is ready to negotiate with all countries and organizations. "Besides for illegal Zionist regime, Iran is ready to negotiate different fields with all countries," Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said speaking to the public in Kohkiluy province on 23 July.

According to Ahmadinejad, all participants of the Geneva meeting, except for British representative, listened to Iran's representative with respect.

Ahmadinejad added that U.S. representative at the meeting spoke very respectively towards Iran. "We assess that as restoration of United States' image and as a turning point in fair approach towards Iranian people. We hope in future gangsterism, injustice and violence will not spoil this positive step," said President.

On 19 July, Secretary General of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili met with EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy Javier Solana. US Assistant Secretary of State William Burns participated in the discussion as observer.

President said no single citizen of Iran would refuse from the right to develop nuclear technologies. "We will join the negotiations in case of continuation of uranium enrichment program is provided. If any terms are required for negotiations, they must be put forward by Iran," said Ahmadinejad.

According to Iran's President, now the West knows that Iran possesses a great power in international community. "It is not important for the West whether nuclear weapons are produced in Iran. The country just wants to show the nations, who love us and take as an example, that Iran is allegedly ready to yield," said President.

West, in particular United States, states Iran is producing nuclear weapons. Official Tehran denies the statements and says its nuclear program has peace goals alone.
