Azerbaijan, Baku, 12 August / Тrend News corr. J.Babayeva/ An Azerbaijani serving at the special troops of Georgia was wounded during military operations in South Ossetia, Chairman of the Georgian Azerbaijanis' national movement Geyrat Alibala Askarov said to Trend in a telephone conversation from Tbilisi on 12 August.
According to Askarov, the Azerbaijani, whose identity is being established, was wounded in his leg and is being treated at the Tbilisi Military Hospital.
Yesterday, the Georgian Conscription Office did not allow 50 Azerbaijani volunteers to enter the area of military operations, Askarov said.
Askarov said the Azerbaijani, whose last name is Bediyev, was wounded during military actions nearby Tskhinvali. Bediyev is a resident of Marneuli region's Mollaoglu village. "The wounded was discharged from hospital."
