Azerbaijan, Baku, 15 August / Trend / Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said there had come the end of the Israeli Government.

"The Zionist regime is splitting from within and the countries in the region oppose the regime," Ahmadinejad said to CNN Turk and NTV channels on 14 August.

President said that Israel had lost its philosophy of existence. Israel exists only when it conquers. Now, it is building a shield around itself just to exist and that means its downfall.

Ahmadinejad said the history of the relations between Turkey and Iran is very ancient and there is proximity of views between both countries' people. According to President, Iran and Turkey are doing their utmost to meet the interests of their nations.

As for uranium enrichment program, Ahmadinejad said Iran's uranium enrichment program has no problems from legal or juridical standpoint. "This program is a political issue," he said.

"Those who do not recognize this legal right of the Iranian people, themselves very recently have used uranium enrichment for crafty purposes. It is they to be judged for this," President said.

As for Turkey's mediation between Iran and Western countries, Ahmadinejad said "We appreciate Turkey's intention to mediate in order to relieve the crisis. However, Turkey's mediation is not necessary at the current stage of Iran's uranium enrichment program. The negotiations are maintained in a normal course."

Iran's President paid a visit to Turkish city of Istanbul on 14 August.
