Public Council to be Set up to Exercise Control over Distribution of Humanitarian Aid among Refugees in Georgia

Georgia, Tbilisi, 25 August/ Trend , corr N. Kirtskhalia/ The President of Georgia to set up a Public Council which will exercise control over the distribution of humanitarian aid among refugees from South Ossetia, the Georgian President Mikhael Saakashvili said in the meeting of bureau of parliament.

The President said the Council will include representatives from government, non-governmental organizations and opposition. "I have already held talks with the leader of opposition David Gamkrelidze and Giorgi Gachecheladze and they expressed their understanding and support for this project," Saakashvili said.

President said a fair distribution of humanitarian aid is very important and all layers of population should be involved in this.
