Georgia, Tbilisi, 25 August / Trend corr. N.Kirtskhalia / The Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili reproached the international organizations for inertness before the Russian aggression in the country. Russia checked the response of the West, which admitted the fact of violation of the Georgian air space by the Russian aircrafts in July, Saakashvili said at the meeting with the Parliamentarian Bureau members on 23 August.

According to the Georgian President, the European Union needed six days to reply and made only one statement urging both sides to refrain from provocation.

"It was a direct invitation by Russia," the President stated. Thus, the international organizations practically showed that they did not interfere into this matter, he said.

Saakashvili also spoke about maneuvers in Abkhazia and South Ossetia, which Russia called maneuvers to compel to peace. These actions were realized to make a show to the whole world, whilst there was no reply, the President said.

According to Saakashvili, he warned the western leaders on the expected aggression. "I said that Russia might be expected to bomb the Georgian territory, although they thought that the Georgian President exaggerated," Saakashvili said.
