One More US Military Ship Enters Batumi Port with Humanitarian Aid

Georgia, Tbilisi, 27 August / Trend corr. N.Kirtskhalia / One more US military ship entered Batumi port with humanitarian aid for Georgia in the morning of 27 August. Dallas ship entered Batumi port, although initially it was planned to deliver cargo to the Poti port, Batumi port said.

However, the Russian servicemen are still located in the Poti port. The Russian servicemen worry that at present nine NATO ships are in the Black Sea and eight more ships are expected to arrive. Russia strengthens its military presence in the Georgian territorial waters by sending Moscow flagship of the Black Sea Fleet to Sukhumi.

The United States delivers $13mln-worth humanitarian aid to Georgia through the sea. The humanitarian aid includes food products and objects of the first necessity, as well as beds.
