Russia, Moscow, 7 September / Trend corr. R.Agayev / The Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his Azerbaijani counterpart Elmar Mammadyarov discussed prospects to develop the Russian and Azerbaijani relations, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
The foreign ministers mulled state and prospects of the Russian and Azerbaijani relations in political, economic and humanitarian fields in the context of agreements reached during the Russian President Dmitriy Medvedevїs official visit to Baku on 3 and 4 July.
The ministers exchanged opinions on regional and international situation formed after preventing the Georgian attack to South Ossetia, which violated settlement agreement.
