We Do Not Need EU’s Assistance: Turkish Prime Minister

On 16 September, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayip Erdogan stated to foreign ambassadors in Ankara, who were invited to the breaking the fast, that Turkey does not need the assistance of the European Union. This information was released by the Turkish Milliyat newspaper.

"We do not expect EU's assistance. We want EU treated us, like to other members of the organization," said the Turkish Prime Minister.

Touching upon the negotiations between Turkey and EU Troika in Brussels, Erdogan called on the EU to take fair decisions towards his country.

"If EU does not want to accept us to the organization, it should state about the decision," said Erdogan.
