Azerbaijan, Baku, 2 October / Trend corr. I.Alizade / The Azerbaijani Parliament adopted a bill on Supplements to the Labor Code, which limits foreign citizens' activity in the country.

"Under changes, permission should be issued individually to employ foreign citizens or people, who do not have a citizenship," Hadi Rajabli, the chairman of the Social Policy Standing Commission, said at a meeting of the parliament on 2 October.

Before changes, foreign citizens did not get permission for employment. The Parliament injected changes into the Labor Code on this matter.

Changes should be injected into the legislation to take serious measures against Azerbaijani businessmen violating this requirement of the Law, MP Ganira Pashayeva said.

"There is a workforce flow from China and other countries to Azerbaijan. They are cheap workforce and the Azerbaijani businessmen use such labor forces in regions. It should be prevented," Pashayeva said.
