Azerbaijan, Baku, 9 October / Trend corr. J.Babayeva / The Azerbaijani citizens living in Spain will support the current President Ilham Aliyev, the chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party (NAP), in the upcoming presidential elections. At the meeting of the Azerbaijan-Turk Cultural Society, which functions in Spain, the Azerbaijani citizens living in Spain said that they would support Ilham Aliyev, who increased Azerbaijan's authority in the international arena and pursued policy directed strengthening of the country's positions, as well as provided political stability and economic development, in the presidential elections to be held in Azerbaijan. |
The presidential elections in Azerbaijan will be held on 15 October. A total of seven candidates will take part in the elections including Ilham Aliyev, chairman of Ruling New Azerbaijan Party, Igbal Agazade, chairman of opposition Umid (Hope) Party, Fazil Gazanfaroglu, chairman of Great Establishment Party, Gudrat Hasanguliyev, chairman of Unified Popular Front Party, Hafiz Hajiyev, chairman of Muasir Musavat Party, Fuad Aliyev, chairman of Liberal Democrat Party and independent candidate Gulamhuseyn Alibayli.
