Initial results of the presidential elections were publicized in America, according to which, candidate from the Democratic Party Barack Obama became leader, CNN reports.

For the first time in the history of the United States of America, African-American candidate became leader in the presidential elections. 

His basic motto is the word "changes". If to be elected, Obama promised to withdraw troops from Iraq. His Vice President will be experienced politician, U.S. senator from State of Delaware, Joe Biden.  

Obama was born on 4 August 1961. He is a graduate of Columbia University and Harvard Law School, where he became the first black to serve as president of the Harvard Law Review. Obama worked as a civil rights attorney.
