Azerbaijani Citizen Taken Hostage in Dagistan Released
Azerbaijan, Baku, 25 November / Trend / corr K.Zarbaliyeva / Azerbaijani hostage who was detained in Dagistan has been released, the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry announced on 25 November.
Five or six people pritended to be prosecution and police officers had taken a hostage of Baku citizen Nisbet Ferhadov and kept in Novocherkey village of Kizilyur district. The abductors demanded $200,000 for his release.
As a result of measures taken by the Central Investigation Department of the Interior Ministry, location of the hostage and other details were disclosed and submitted tothe Interior Ministry of Dagistan.
Nisbet Ferhadov was released and sent back to Baku and the culprits were arrested in the aftermath of special operations.
