Agitation group of Azerbaijan’s opposition party established

Azerbaijan, Baku, Jan.7 / Trend corr A. Huseynbala / The Azerbaijan's opposition party formed an agitation group in order to represent the position of the democratic society at the referendum.

"The agitation group includes party's head Isa Gambar and several people of the party, as well as the representatives of other political parties and public organizations," head of the central executive apparat of Musavat party Arif Hajili told Trend on Jan.7.    

According to Hajili, the initiators, who offered to name the agitation group as Republicans, plan to hold the meeting of the group soon.

Hajili added that the first agitation groups will be established in the cities of Baku, Sumgayit, Ganja and regions of the country.  

Hajili said that it is envisaged to involve representatives of political and public organizations in the agitation group which intend to participate in the agitation process regarding the referendum and to have close co-operation with agitation groups which will be created by other opposition organizations. 

The referendum in Azerbaijan will be held on Mar.18.
