Hamid Karzai Goes to India

Afghanistan, Kabul, Jan. 11 / Trend , A. Hakimi/  Afghan president, Hamid Karzai to meet Indian prime minister.

President of Afghanistan, Hamid Karzai accompanied by a high-ranking delegation such as Dr. Rangin Dadfar Spanta, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Zalmai Rasoul, National Security Advisor, Sayed Makhdoom Rahin, Afghan Ambassador to India, Mohammad Umar Daudzai, Chief of Staff to the President and Humayun Hamidzada, Spokesperson to the President.

Afghan President and his team will convey the message of "solidarity and condolences of People of Afghanistan" to Indians in the aftermath of Mumbai attacks.

During his visit, the President is scheduled to hold separate bilateral meetings with Man Mohan Singh, Prime Minister of India and Indian Foreign Minister, Prefab Mukherjee to discuss ways to further forge the existing relations between the two countries.

Other issues of importance in the bilateral meetings would include talks on the latest situation in the region, fighting against terrorism and enhanced economic cooperation.
