Kyrgyz Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary ambassador to the Russian Federation Raimkul Attakurov and Kyrgyz Minister of Culture and Information Sultan Raev held a meeting with Moscow's first deputy mayor Ludmilla Shvetsova in Moscow's government, the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry told Trend .
During the meeting the sides discussed actual issues of bilateral cooperation in culture and several organizational issues on setting up a monument for the hero of Manas epos, as well as Russia's assignation of Kyrgyz Embassy to the Russian Federation to Kyrgyzstan's property, the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said.
Ambassador Raimkul Attakurov familiarized interlocutors with the current situation regarding Russia's allocation of land plot in Moscow for construction of Kyrgyz Cultural Center and Trade House. He also noted that Kyrgyz side has already fulfilled duties in this sector. He also asked to assist in this matter as soon as possible.
First deputy mayor Ludmilla Shvetsova assured Kyrgyz side that actual problems raised at today's meeting would be delivered to Moscow's mayor Yuri Luzhkov in the nearest time. Russia's side will inform about the results later.
As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to postpone the periods for establishment of a monument for the hero of Manas epos in Moscow for 2009-2010.
