Azerbaijani president attends new international bus station opening ceremony in Baku

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev attended an opening ceremony of a new bus station in the north part of Baku, the ministry said on Feb. 12. Transferring bus station which is located in a giant flyover aims to unload traffic of cars entering or leaving the capital.

On Feb. 12, the President partook in the opening ceremony of two flyovers as part of reconstructing and constructing concrete Baku-Russian border road, Engineering-construction Akkord İnshaat-Senaye company said on Feb. 12.

The company constructed a tunnel at 11 kilometer of Baku-Guba-Russian border highway and a bridge at 16 kilometer of this road.

Length of the tunnel at the Khirdalan circle is 700 meters, width - 20 meters and height- 5 meters. A key function of the flyover is to provide free transit transport traffic in the northern direction (Russia).

The flyover at 16 kilometers of this road targets to provide cars' entry to main highway from Khirdalan to Sumgayit and Baku. Depth of this flyover is 20 meters and length - 63 meters.

Akkord began reconstructing and building a concrete Baku-Russian border road at 16-134 kilometers of length at the Azerbaijani Transport Ministry's order in May 2008.
