There is not an accused and arrested person named Robert Levinson in the Islamic Republic of Iran, an official of Iran's Ministry of Justice said, IRNA agency reported.
U.S citizen Levinson is detained in Iran's prison, Bill Nelson, U.S congressman, democrat said. "A man named Levinson was not registered in prisons and Iran's Ministry of Justice. Generally, there was no such a criminal case in Iran's Ministry of Justice," Alireza Jamshidi Press-secretary of Iran's Ministry of Justice told media on Feb. 17 in response for US official's speech.
Retired agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation Levinson arrived in Iran's Kish island to shoot a documentary film early in March of 2008. Before the visit to Iran he spoke to US chancellor to Dubai. The US government knows about Levinson's visit to Iran's Kish island, US officials said. However, there is no information about his further fate after the visit and whether he left Iran or not.
