The U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will attend the Gaza aid conference in Cairo, which will take place next month, Saudi television channel KSA reported.
The decision of holding conference was made in January by the Foreign Ministers of the Arab League member countries and by Egyptian government.

The Quartet on the Middle East (European Union, the USA, Russia and United Nations) supported the initiative of holding conference, which can put an end to the confrontations in the region.

Formerly the Foreign Minister of Russia Sergey Lavrov stated the participation of Russia in this conference

"We will take the most active part in the conference on the restoration of Gaza, which Egypt intends to call in mid February," said Lavrov, RIA Novosti reported.

According to the data provided by the Palestinian physicians, the 22 days military operations of Israel in the Gaza Strip against the members of Hamas killed 1,300 Palestinians, wounded more than 5,000 people.

On Jan. 18, Israel declared one-sided ceasefire. However, the situation in the region remains stressed. Yet Hamas and Israel have not been able to agree upon reconciliation, in spite of the efforts of Egypt.
