The longest sea boulevard will be constructed in Batumi, Georgia's President Mikhail Saakashvili said in Batumi on Feb. 26.

"There was 1.6 kilometer boulevard in the time of Communists and Abashidze. Now, we will lengthen boulevard to six kilometers and it will connect Batumi sea port and the airport in future," he said.

The President is delighted with Hilton hotel of which construction is under completion. He said that he was fulfilling his child's dream. We will do our best to construct new facilities in Batumi, he said.

"We will put into operation a delphinary in May, as well as concert hall will be opened. We will invite the best architects to create the best things here," Saakashvili said.

Most people can say that it is not proper time for construction in Batumi, the President said. "It is a wrong approach. First, local residents will work here. Second, the crisis is not perpetual and we must be ready for new tourist seasons," he said.
