Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and his Iranian counterpart Mahmoud Ahmedinejad met in private in Tehran on March 10, the AzerTag news agency reported.
The meeting focused on bilateral relations.
The presidents stressed that bilateral relations are rapidly developing in the political, economic and humanitarian fields.
The presidents noted the importance of Aliyev's official visit to Iran, and said Azerbaijan is in favor of expanding mutual relations.
The presidents expressed confidence that Azerbaijani-Iranian relations will develop in the future.
