Average of 14 percent of electorates vote in southern Azerbaijan

Roughly 13.5 percent of electorates voted at the Lankaran-Masalli Constituency No. 75 in southern Azerbaijan by 10.00 local time.

Ten percent of electorates voted at the Lankaran City Constituency No. 73, 14.3 percent at the Lankaran Village Constituency No. 74 and 13.6 percent at the Lankaran-Astara Constituency No. 76, Trend reported.

There are 117 polling stations at the constituencies and 110,295 registered electorates.

A total of 1,210 monitors are observing the election. Two are international monitors.

Azerbaijan is holding a referendum on March 18 to amend the Constitution.

The referendum campaign began on Feb. 18 and finished on March 16 at midnight. A total of 23,000 manat was allocated to every agitation group for campaign.

The Azerbaijani Constitution was adopted in 1995. Amendments and additions were made in 2002.
